In 1989, at just 22 years old, Sam arrived in the United States with his wife, Robby, carrying big dreams and a determination to build a better future. With a background in software engineering, they began their American journey together, driven by hard work, sacrifice, and a shared passion for success.
In 1994, Sam opened his first restaurant in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, marking the beginning of an extraordinary entrepreneurial journey. Over the next three decades, his passion and dedication led him to establish more than 30 restaurants, from bagel and sandwich shops to gourmet burgers, Mediterranean kabobs, French-inspired crêperies, and Italian gelato.
Through every venture, Sam remained committed to a simple philosophy: Fresh ingredients, exceptional food, generous portions, and genuine hospitality.
A Passion Passed Down Through Generations
For Sam, building restaurants was never just about business. It was about creating something meaningful that could one day become a family legacy.
From a very young age, Sam began teaching his eldest son, Hass, the restaurant business from the ground up. By the age of 12, Hass was already deeply interested in the family business, learning firsthand about food preparation, customer service, daily operations, and the dedication required to succeed.
Those early lessons planted the seeds of a lifelong passion.
In 2021, Hass officially joined Pita Grill & Creperie, bringing with him a strong foundation in restaurant operations, fresh ideas, and the financial expertise gained through completing his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification.
Having witnessed the countless hours and sacrifices his parents devoted to their businesses, Hass shares his father's vision of creating something even greater: a restaurant business that is not only successful but also smarter, less stressful, and more enjoyable for everyone involved.
Together, they are combining Sam's decades of hands-on experience with Hass's financial knowledge and modern approach to build efficient systems, support their employees, improve work-life balance, and deliver a exceptional experience to every guest.
